Feeling ambivalent about therapy? You're not alone! It can feel strange to reach out, especially to a stranger. Maybe you've never been in therapy before and don't know what to expect. Maybe you've been in therapy before and have had a bad experience. Read more about how I work here, and more about me here.
And even though you're probably seeking therapy because something in your life doesn't feel quite right, you might not feel quite ready to face the things that don't feel good. Both things can be true--the wanting and the hesitation. We can talk about this. It's part of the process!
The most important factor in good therapy is a good fit between therapist and client. You can use our first phone call and first meetings to get a sense of whether we'll work well together. You can leave therapy whenever you'd like, and stay as long as you'd like.
